Cleveland Plogs – East 156th – Cancelled
May 26 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pmFree
Summer is around the corner so let’s keep our streets and sidewalks looking squeaky clean! Cleveland Plogs is excited to announce the return of our monthly plogging cleanups for 2022.
We’ll kickoff the plogging season on Thursday May 26th at 6 p.m. Ploggers will clean East 156th St. and surrounding streets before wrapping up around 7:30 p.m.
Meet at the Waterloo Road Tower Plaza, at the corner of Waterloo Rd. and East 156th St. We’ll have with bags, gloves and hand sanitizer. Once everyone has picked up trash on their route, we’ll meet back at the Waterloo Tower for a trashy post plogging photo. Afterwards, we’ll head over to the Millard Fillmore (15617 Waterloo Rd) for some post plogging refreshments.
Speaking of refreshments, need a plogging refresher? Plogging is a fitness and litter cleanup craze from Sweden that is spreading throughout the world and right here in Collinwood. Plogging involves a combination of jogging (or walking) and picking up trash along your running/walking route using a small bag to collect the litter you find along your route. Plogging is great exercise and a great opportunity to meet new people and make a positive impact on our environment and our neighborhood!
