Pieces of Eight at ESPC
August 22 @ 7:00 pm - 9:30 pmFree
The East Shore Park Club is excited to announce that Pieces of Eight – Cleveland’s Longest Performing Garage Band – will be making their long-awaited ESPC debut in August to close out the 2019 concert season. How appropriate is it to have the Lakeside Brass performing lakeside on the beautiful grounds of our East Shore Park.
Classic Rock with horns. The band first performed at Wickliffe High School in 1979. The next year, Pieces of Eight made their public debut at the Flipside, a small bar located in South Euclid. Fast forward to today and 2019 marks the 40 year anniversary of Pieces of Eight performing their unique version of “Suburban Classic Rock” in the Cleveland area. This mixture of classic Rock & Roll and popular Rhythm & Blues is characterized as instantly recognizable songs. Eight veteran musicians with a dynamic horn section highlights the rest of the lineup of guitars, keyboards and drums. The band members includes guitarists Kurt Kendig and Ken Cali, keyboardist Pat Rehmer, drummer Joe Blatnik, bassist Joe Lazar, and horn players Dan Hannan on trombone, Al Widmer on trumpet, and Gary Motta on saxophones.”
All concerts are FREE and open to the public. Bring a blanket or lawn chair, relax on the shore of Lake Erie, and enjoy not only some fine music, but the best sunsets on the Northcoast.
Food and beverages will be available for sale, weather permitting, or bring your own picnic. All concerts are held rain or shine, inside the club if necessary.
Our shows are family-friendly, and well-behaved, leashed dogs are always welcome! Smoking is permitted on the patio east of the clubhouse.
