Cleveland Metroparks Euclid Creek Reservation

Cleveland Metroparks Euclid Creek Reservation is named for Euclid Creek, a tributary of Lake Erie which runs from the Heights down through Euclid and Cleveland’s Collinwood neighborhood. The south portion of the reservation runs from Green Road north to Euclid Avenue and features wooded hillsides where the rare rock chestnut oak grows. Amenities include a paved all purpose trail for running or cycling, a ball field, picnic areas a sledding hill, and playgrounds.

Lakefront Parks

Euclid Creek Reservation expanded in 2013 to include the northern portion of the watershed consisting of three lakefront city parks that were formerly managed by the state—Euclid Beach Park, Villa Angela Park and Wildwood Park.

Euclid Beach Park Once the site of the famous amusement park of the same name, Euclid Beach Park now features a 650’ beach with shaded picnic areas, a playground, and a 315′ long, ADA-accessible pier, along with a reservable picnic shelter.

Villa Angela Park Scenic overlooks and a wide variety of plant species can be seen along Villa Angela Park’s boardwalk that leads out to a fishing pier and a 900’ sandy beach. Open for swimming weekdays during the Metroparks summer season, and weekends through Labor Day. Check out beach conditions here.

Wildwood Park An angler’s paradise, Wildwood Park has a playground, a marina and a public boat launch to provide access to Lake Erie. Stream fishing in Euclid Creek, plus two lengthy rock breakwalls accommodate shore anglers. Wildwood is also the home of Discovery Dive Charters & Tours, home to the Linda Mae, Cleveland’s only head boat fishing charter, and kayaks for rent.

And don’t miss the 150-foot, ADA-accessible bridge that connects Villa Angela and Wildwood parks by crossing over the mouth of Euclid Creek. It connects 800’ of all purpose trail and beach-front landscaping that frames a view of the downtown skyline with the help of the East Side ‘Script Cleveland’ sign.
