Join Sew4Service for Fiber Fest, a day brimming with demonstrations and hands-on workshops designed to rekindle your creative spirit. Best of all, it’s completely free to attend!
Warrensville Heights Branch of the Cuyahoga County Library System

Sew4Service, in partnership with the Cuyahoga County Library Warrensville Heights Branch, has assembled a talented group of artists, quilters, stitchers, and textile specialists. They will share their expertise through 11 demonstrations and over 8 hands-on workshops. In addition, library staff will demonstrate how the tools and technologies available in their Innovation Center can assist attendees in bringing their creative ideas to life. Participants can customize their experience by selecting which sessions they want to attend during registration.
Each demonstration lasts for 45 minutes and covers topics such as:
26 Quilting Tips and Tools with Elizabeth Bauman Sheep Shearing with Melinda Wamsley
- Fabric Twine with Kathie Luskin
- French Rose Quilt with Sunny Morton
- Slow Stitching with Michelle Lutz Bobbin
- Lace with Sue Ingrassia
- Pinecone Quilts with Gregory Simonson
- Scrap Happiness with Marianne Monaghan and Kathie Luskin
You won’t want to miss the demo with Dru Christine, a Cleveland-based fashion designer and entrepreneur. Her session, Upcycle Smart: Turning Everyday Garments into Wearable Pieces without Starting from Scratch, offers a thoughtful perspective on upcycling that emphasizes skill, intention, and design over fleeting trends.
Each hands-on workshop spans 2 ¼ hours, with topics including:

- Weaving without Rules with Shannon Timura
- Connecting Threads with Florence Pompeu
- Scrappy Fabric Vessels with Marianne Monaghan

- Feather and Fur Raw Edge Applique with Elizabeth Bauman
